We don't have a name just yet.. but we are working on it. The kids are in complete awe and are really enjoying her company. She is a 6 month old miniature poodle mix. We adopted her from BARC and it was such a pleasant experience. Everyone there was so nice and it's amazing how many people volunteer to help rescue animals. I am so glad we were able to give her a good home. She's going for her first doggie spa day today.. think I could join her?!? LOL.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!

Destin, Florida {Day Three & Four}
Day three was amazing or more like breathtaking. We spent the morning on the beach playing and the afternoon checking out the Harborwalk and ended our evening with a sunset cruise. I was in awe and my poor camera was in overdrive and you poor folks are about to be photo dumped. Ha!
I loved the Harborwalk and not just because they had a Starbucks! ;)
The sunset cruise was like a 3-in-1.. we made a stop at crab island to collect seashells..
I let my husband be the guide while I sat in back with my camera..
My gal was fearless people.. she was collecting shells as if she was going to turn them in for money.
This guy filled his bucket and then just decided to run along the beach..
And of course there are those times when I am reminded that two is better than one..
I {heart} this picture of my loves..
And can you tell what my kids loved collecting.. hermet crabs and today we realized that one of those babies made it home with us.
There were so many boats out on the water.. just anchored out ready for the sunset.
We also got to go looking for dolphins at which wasn't all that hard. They were swimming all around us and I was flipping out!! It was the neatest thing and my kiddos were stoked.
The views just couldn't get any better..
It was an amazing sunset too.. just look at that color??
And when it was almost down the sky was still showing off.. I was impressed.
It was a wonderful boat ride and a great way to end the day. That evening we ate at this little italian place called LaFamiglia and it was out of this world.. I seriously would recommend it if you're in the area, by far the best meal we had the entire time.
Day four was our last day, and we totally made the most of it. I took a few shots of the kiddos on the beach and then we headed out for the pensacola avaition museum. This was on my list of to-do's for our drive back home.. I just knew J would be in heaven and I managed to get a few decent shots to hang in his room. That's what I like to call a win-win! ;)
We made the drive back home that afternoon and got in about 10pm that night.. I actually drove the entire way! We can't wait to go back.. it was such a fun trip and I am so thankful we were able to go.
Whew, it feels good to be caught up.. I was thinking those pictures were going to be the life of me. This past week's been pretty quiet for the most part, Jacob did have tee-ball pictures on Tuesday, so I'll post those soon. We're in for a long holiday weekend and I couldn't be more ready. We have zero plans, which leaves plenty of room for something spontaneous to happen.
Happy Friday!

Destin, Florida {Day Two}
Day two was loads of fun.. we started off by renting a pontoon boat, which I think everyone loved. The kiddos had a blast and they even got to play captain for a bit. My son's favorite thing was honking the horn.. go figure. We rode all around and made a few stops to play in the water. I am still in awe and a little, who am I kidding a lot jealous of their clear water. We totally got ripped off with Galveston and now I am unsure if visiting there will ever be the same. Boo!
Day three is up next.. hermet crabs, sunset and dolphins!
The scenery was amazing.. I could totally see myself living here. ;)
The kiddos just thought of it as a giant swimming pool and were totally fearless..
Katelynn really got brave towards the end of our stay..
I was happy to use the ol' point & shoot.. makes for some fun self portraits. Ha!
I loved this fence line so we took a shot even though the sun was beaming.. we needed this memory to last.
My favorite part.. getting out right smack in the middle of the ocean and being able to touch!! This shot is brought to you by my little mini-me.. she's totally going to go pro photographer one day. My husband was rather impressed and I think she's almost got him convinced she needs her own "big girl" camera. FYI my husband's a major sucker, so I have no doubt she will get what she wants. Let's just say I may will have to intervene at the age 16. ;)
That afternoon we hit the beach.. and this crazy mama got a wild hair for some Kayaking. I mean between the waves and clear blue water it was a must. Lisa and I had the time of our lives and I have a huge bruise on my hip to prove it and of course our men got the laugh of a lifetime, but whatever. Little man wanted a turn, so we took him out and he took it like a champ. I seriously want to go white water rafting now.. ;)
Day three is up next.. hermet crabs, sunset and dolphins!

Destin, Florida {Day One}
I've come to the conclusion that the best way for me to document our trip and not have a picture overload is to do a post for each day we were there, so here goes. We actually set out for Florida on Tuesday afternoon and drove all the way into Pensacola, FL. We had planned on stopping about half-way, but neither of us were tired and our car was super quiet, so we figured we mine as well get as far as we can then stop. Let's just say that was the best idea and made Wednesday morning very relaxing and we were in no rush because we were only an hour away from our destination. The first two pictures I snapped as we were entering into Destin.. I was in complete awe and wanted to jump in right away!
Day one was awesome, but day two was even better.. those are coming up next!
Once we arrived we were all jumping up and down and I some how managed to snap these pictures from the balcony.. I still can't get over our view. I was out there every morning trying to soak it all in, so breathtaking.
It didn't take us long to throw on our suits and head down to the beach where we meet up with friends. We actually met our neighbors up there and you would have thought our kids went weeks without seeing one another. Ha! I am so happy they have friends to play with and they all get along very well. I will admit they are the only girls aloud to kiss my son other than his sister. ;)
These two were having a good ol' time and just loved every minute of the beach..
I really enjoyed sitting back and watching them soak it all in.. their smiles are priceless to me.
and of course no beach trip is complete without a little beach football.. my son was so down.
That evening we decided to visit this resteraunt called Fudpuckers, which was really neat and way kid friendly. My two had a great time and they even got to feed and hold an alligator!! Crazy stuff people.
Can you believe these little guys are three years old?? I was like WTH? But then the trainer dude said they grow slow, which is a good thing. He said can you imagine if they grow fast.. I guess I see his point, but it's still weird to me. I am so not an alligator person, and I think the gators could sense it. LOL.
Day one was awesome, but day two was even better.. those are coming up next!

We're Back!!
and happy to be home, but sure as heck missing the beach life. The trip was amazing and I wish we could have stayed a whole another week! The kids had the time of their lives and so did we. I took a bunch of pictures, but just haven't found the energy or the time to upload them all. I am also getting my computer back today, so I figured I mine as well wait for that too. I did however think the photo below was a bit too cute not to share right this very minute.. this is my husband. I had no idea what he was up too, I just wanted a picture.. when I went back through my camera this is what I found. Leave it to him to be creative alright! ;)
We got everything unpacked and washed yesterday and spent the afternoon relaxing. I will try and document our trip very soon and get caught up with everyone else's. I've got four work days to get through, then I get a little four day weekend, so it shouldn't be too bad. Tomorrow we have tee-ball pictures, and then Thursday we have dance, so a few things on the schedule for this week.

Florida Sunset..
Is truly a beautiful thing.. Seriously I was in awe this evening. We took a sunset cruise that allowed us to stop and search for sea shells, then ride out to see the dolphins and lastly catch these amazing views! My camera was in overdrive, but I don't think it minded one bit.
I don't know how long it will take me to get all the pictures off my camera, so I figured a few iPhone pics would due for now. ;)

Vacation Mode
OMG!! We are having the time of our lives and Florida is amazingly beautiful. The kids love the beach and so do mommy and daddy. It's like a giant wave pool with white sand, totally not what we're used too!! ;)
